They say, "Beauty is skin deep" I disagree. Beauty isn't only what we see on the surface. That's just one small aspect of one's beauty. It's not about perfection either. Instead, I believe it's about all the imperfections that make you unique such as, those funny faces you make when you're trying really hard to do something or that scar that tells of an interesting journey. It's all the magical unexpected experiences like how you feel when the person ahead of you in the drive thru pays for your coffee.That's always fun! It's you enjoying going for a walk, just for the walk and not for the exercise. It's about how adored you feel when your love catches your eye from across the room and gives you a wink. It's that feeling of accomplishment knowing you raised great children. It's compassion and grace.  It's having the courage to smile when you feel like crying, getting up just one more time or walking away and taking a stand. It's being kind to yourself and recognizing,  you are enough, even with all your rolls and wrinkles and jiggly bits. Beauty is in these and so many more things.
